Queen Embroidery Whimsical Sewing Sets

These unique and whimsical embroidered sewing sets are handcrafted one at a time. The boxes are made from cigar boxes and embellished with some new, some recycled and some repurposed objects.  I haunt thrift stores and garage sales to find the perfect accent piece whether it is a vintage brooch, a Christmas ornament, an unusual button, or a bit of fancy lace. Anything that strikes my fancy may go onto one of my boxes.

I add more boxes each week. Please take time to peruse the boxes and examine the sewing pieces.  Each box has a specific theme.  No two boxes will ever be just alike.  The sets include a scissors sheath that will fit 4"-6" embroidery scissors. I've tucked in a small pair of snips to cut your thread.  The needle book boasts 2 pockets in which to tuck your packets of needles, needle threader, beeswax or whatever else you can fit into it. The pincushion is plush enough for your pins and needles but small enough to fit in the box. It has a golden embroidery needle for good luck.  The thimble boxes may be a small round container with a twist-off lid and a charm, a button or other small object.  Or it may be a tiny trinket box that fits the theme of the box.  As an added bonus, I've included a measuring tape shaped like a house. 

All-in-all, it is everything you need to carry your sewing tools with you.  And I hope it adds a bit of whimsy to your day and puts a smile in your needle work.
