OK, I'm a Pacific
Northwest kinda gal and I like Starbucks.
I don't live in Seattle but about 60 miles away in
Olympia. Still.
Now, I cant afford to drink Starbucks everyday but I
still like it. My
preference is a caramel macchiato. Hot in the winter, iced in
the summer. Also
holiday lattes eggnog and gingerbread.
I live for mid-November when they first come out.
I am sad for weeks when January comes and I have another
11 months to wait.
I have a friend who
works for Starbucks and gets a free pound of coffee every month.
She donates some to my women's club special events.
Gotta love her! This set of animal designs is perfect for the State of Starbucks. I found the Starbucks charms and coffee cups on ebay a year or so ago and liked them so much I bought them without knowing quite what I was going to do with them. Now I know. The dog with the latte balanced on the end of his nose is my favorite. There's a caramel macchiato in that cup.
Specifics On top of this box is a picture of a coffee cup with coffee beans. There is a fold-out booklet tied with burgundy ribbon that has quotes about coffee on the accordian pages. There is also a velum piece that says, "Enjoy the little things in life for someday you will look back and realize they were the big things." Three beads with steaming cups of coffee on them sit in one corner. Inside is a quote, "Coffee leads men to trifle away their time, scald their chops, and spend their money, all for a little base, black, thick, nasty, bitter, stinking nauseous puddle water." The Women's Petition Against Coffee, 1674 Oh, how times have changed. On one side is a cup of the steaming brew with a bag of coffee beans beside it. Width: 6" Length: 9" Height: 1.5" Scissors Sheath: 3.25" x 5" Check out the jazzed little chipmunk on the scissors sheath. She knows what makes a good breakfast! Pincushion: 2.75" x 2.75" The little koala bear is hugging his latte with eyes blissfully closed, enjoying every last drop. There is a golden needle for good luck. Needle book: 3" x 5" I wish I could train my dog to bring me a latte on command. This one is wagging his tail with joy. The needle book has 2 pockets on the inside in which to tuck your needle packets, seam ripper or other small items. Thimble Box: 1.25" high x 1" in diameter There is a pink coffee mug on top of the thimble box, just waiting for a dollop of java. Bonus: Bonus items include a thimble, a tape measure shaped like a house and a small pair of snips in the scissors sheath. |
